This building is a new 48,400 square feet maximum-security juvenile detention facility. The building consists of 80 beds, separated into 8 pods. Each pod has its own 800 square foot day room. The building also has a full service kitchen, gymnasium and education wing. The education wing consists of six classrooms and two vocational classrooms.

The HVAC system consists of a 155 ton air-cooled chiller, two 40 HP cast iron sectional hot water boilers and two VAV air handling units. All plumbing fixtures in the cell areas are controlled by a digital plumbing control system, which allows the owner to shut off one fixture, a group of fixtures or all of the fixtures from the remote control room.

The electrical system consists of a new 3000 A 120/208V/3ph/4W service and a 350 KW generator with a UPS battery back up for miscellaneous lights and the entire control room and communication room. Security cameras are located throughout the building, as well as locations outside the building and on the fence.
